Olympics Edition

Not too many ginger athletes out there, but of course, Great Britain does not disappoint. Cute young ginger on the GB men's gymnastic team....Daniel Purvis. Wow, what a spectacular floor routine he can throw together. That's some nice tumbling, mate!

Even better, my favorite ginger royal, the lovely Prince Harry, was in attendance to see the GB guys win bronze in the team finals.

Meeting Ed Sheeran

Was so excited about the Ed Sheeran and Snow Patrol concert.  Put on my special shirt in hopes that I would get a chance to meet him.  Turns out, he really wanted to meet his fans...because there were relatively few of us. I was shocked that no one really knew who he was!  I guess I forgot how long it takes for British bands and music to travel overseas and become popular over here.  Anyway, after the show, I got to meet him...and he commented on my shirt!  Here is the picture that we took together  :)  Love him!

Scotland....Land of Gingers....?

Arrived in Glasgow, Scotland today.  Have yet to spy any (attractive) gingers.  Actually, I have seen surprisingly few gingers since my arrival here.  Perhaps Edinburgh is the place to find them.  That's where I spotted the most in December (with my mom's help, or course).  I'll be there in a few days, which gives Glasgow a chance to prove me wrong :)

Just wanted to keep on the Ginger track and post a little something that I discovered in London a while ago.  Why did I not know about this sooner?  Absolutely hilarious!!!!

The search for Scottish gingers continues!  Updates to follow!

Finally....a ginger date!!!!

Who knew that posting a profile on a regular dating site would get me more ginger options than a ginger dating site? I have a date tonight with a super tall ginger, and I cannot wait!

Also, planning my Spring Break trip to Scotland, my fave ginger nation. So excited to see how many ginger dates I can have in one week :)

*Update*
So the date went well. Yes, he was ginger. Yes, he was really tall (6'5" to my 5'3"). We met for drinks and talked for a long time. He's funny and we hit it off quite well. The only downside? Worst kisser ever!!!!! As my friend said, its one thing to be a bad kisser at 17, but at 28 or later its entirely unacceptable.

Onward to Scotland!

Recent ginger sightings

I recently went up to New York to visit a friend. We went out in the LES on Saturday night. Spotted a super hot ginger toting a guitar while we were leaving the subway. Wished (out loud) that he was going where we were headed. He wasn't. :(

A couple weeks later, I was in San Antonio. Saw two gingers in line at Starbucks. And then, there was a student ginger at the morning lecture for my conference, but he sadly bolted before I had a chance to make a move.

Guess I will just have to wait until the Ed Sheeran concert in April. Of course I will be wearing my I heart Gingers shirt. Will try my hardest to get pictures with Mr. Ginger himself.

Step 1: Sign up on Ginger Dating Sites

In order to kick start the ginger dating process, I decided to join a ginger dating website.  So I Google searched "ginger dating".  I came up with two different dating sites (or so I thought), dedicated entirely to redheads and those looking to date them.  HotForGinger and DateGinger.  After joining both of them (free membership), it turns out that they are pretty much exactly the same website...with most of the same profiles as well.  So I may end up with two profiles on the same site.  Oh well, if they don't find one, maybe they'll find the other.  And so it begins!  Wish me luck (of the Irish variety)!

All quiet on the ginger front

It's been a slow week in my search for a ginger to date. The holidays will be here shortly and that tends to make people preoccupied with other things. Guess I should have started after the New Year. But since I'm already up and running, I have decided to dedicate a post to some of my favorite ginger men. (And if anyone happens to know them, please direct them my way :-))

First up, a music video featuring two gingers: Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Ed Sheeran...love him!

Next, a tribute to my favorite ginger member of the Royal Family...looking good!

Merry Christmas everyone...and a Happy Ginger New Year!
