The downside to dating gingers

The wonderful thing about gingers is that they are a rare breed.  As they make up only about 2% of the global population, a ginger sighting is a delight for me.  And since ginger lovers such as myself seem to be few in number, is it not often that I have competition.

Sadly, I recently discovered a downside to dating gingers.  I received a text message from one of the young men I am currently seeing, informing me that he would be "out of commission" for an unspecified length of time.  Turns out, he just found out he has skin cancer and will require surgery to remove it.  Not just the usual scraping either, but a full-blown surgery.  Serious stuff.  And once he's had one, he's very likely to have more.  And starting at such a young age (28), I can only imagine this is quite upsetting to him.  So yes, while I am quite fond of gingers and their lovely freckly skin, it seems I had forgotten that their skin makes them highly susceptible to developing skin cancers.

Please, if any gingers are reading this, or if you know any gingers, advise them to take care of their delicate ginger skin.  We have to protect this rare breed and ensure the continuation of their species.

Ed Sheeran Concert....again!

Saw my favorite, Ed Sheeran, in concert tonight! Wow, he's come a long way since I saw him open for Snow Patrol in April 2012. Back then, I was the only person there for him. Now, I was there with over 500 other people...mostly screaming teenage girls. Oh, and did I mention that there was a huge thunderstorm, complete with hail, before the (outdoor) concert even started?! Yeah....so I got a little drenched. But he was definitely worth the wait and I'm so happy I got to see him again. Thanks to my dad for buying me a ticket as an early birthday present. Gingers never go out of style ;)

Seriously?! These girls must not be Harry stalkers like I am. This poser looks nothing like the real Prince! His face is wrong, his hair is the wrong shade, and his body type is nowhere near Harry's. What a disgrace.  Just goes to show that American girls will fall for any random guy with an accent.

Ginger Companion Found!

So I've finally found my perfect ginger! He's loving and cuddly and always there for me when I need him. His name is Pumpkin, and he's my new cat. Lol!

Ginger Olympics

This blog post goes out to one of my longtime favorite Olympians, Shaun White. Can I just say, he is looking extra sexy with that new shorter haircut. And he did it for Locks of Love...what a sweetheart! Even though he couldn't win the gold, he's still a champion in my heart :)

Jamaican vacation

Had a perfectly lovely company vacation to relieve my broken heart. Lucky for me, there were a few gingers on my trip. While I had been anticipating hooking up with the ginger on my sales team, I decided at the time that it was not worth the trouble. Not to mention, he was wasty-face. Leave it to my friend Mickey to push me in another direction. And by that I mean, she put her hand on my back and physically shoved me into the arms of a ginger from her sales team. At first, I was a little embarrassed. He's kind of nerdy and a very bad dancer. But then I realized that he's awesome because he really doesn't care what other people think. So I let him walk me back to my room and kiss me at the end of the night. Now the next night was another story ;) Let's just say...do not dismiss gingers at first glance. They may possess certain skills that will make you a very happy girl.
